Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the self-development program?
The free online self-development program is a 42-day challenge teaching the skills and techniques involved in the development of inner peace. It provides guided meditation videos and daily reflections to support personal development and the practice of mindfulness. You can start the first episode here
We recommend to follow the 42 days in a row to get more benefit, although this is not compulsory.
If you finish the program more than a year before the date of the Training, you may have to re-do it! Do not worry, it is a great chance to enjoy it one more time and recognize how much you have developed yourself!
2. What am I supposed to write in the proposal question in the application?
A PIPO proposal is a space for you to submit your possible commitment towards sharing your knowledge back to your community. As you may have read, we call PIPO the series of meditation events that a peace agent (someone that has attended the International Training in Thailand) organizes in his/her country once he or she has returned home. Here we are interested in knowing why you want to spread the message of World Peace Initiative further, what you would like to do, how you plan to do it. So, this is a space for you to also add or tell us about different ideas you have to stay engaged with the organization regardless the possibility of organizing PIPO, for example linking your organization with ours, helping us in a specific area of your expertise, organizing periodical online meditation sessions, etc.
3. I am over 32, can I still apply for the training?
If you are over 32 years old, you may still apply but will not receive the airfare sponsorship should you be selected.
4. How do you select the participants?
After completing your 21 days of the online self-development program. World Peace Initiative Foundation selection committee will make an interview appointment based on your performance, and group combination in the training. There is no need to write a request for an interview. If you are qualified, we will contact you.
5. What do the prior commitment activities imply?
What is a special ops?
It is a special operation where inner peace is the core value that allows you to share what you have learned during your self-development program with people around you. One of the best forms of learning and applying new knowledge is to learn, contemplate and then share it around! This is the very first step that you can do to start spreading your Peace Out.
For an online special ops, all you need to do is to invite people who are open-minded and interested in learning Inner Peace by means of meditation to a place with Internet facility. The meditation introduction will be presented by a professional meditation trainer (Peace Architect) followed by a short meditation session for beginners that lasts about 30 minutes. At the end, the participants will have a chance to ask questions to the meditation guide related to meditation and personal self-development. You may have more details here:
On offline special ops is the same as an online one except that it is done offline using a video or an audio taken from the self-development program. You may have more details here :
When an offline special ops is led by a meditation trainer who resides near you it is called an "In Person Special Ops". You may have more details here
Empowerment workshops, what are they?
It is an event, forum, conference or seminar organized to train people on peace related topics based on inner peace practice. It is led by a Meditation Trainer (Peace Architect) who will travel to your country for that purpose. If you have the drive to organize one, you may reach out and share your plans at firstname.lastname@example.org
Peace/PIPO Clubs, what are they?
They are a local community of like-minded people who want to develop and empower themselves through meditation combining it with other initiatives to make society a better place to live. Peace/PIPO Clubs can be established anywhere in the world. The idea is to find out and promote the local solutions for local and global problems. This regular gathering emerges from the principle of Peace In Peace Out P.I.P.O. You may find out more about them and how they are established and sustained here .
