I started my first meditation practice in 2007. I learned several benefits from meditation practice. Over the last 14 years, I practiced meditation daily and traveled to Thailand to attend a 7-days meditation retreat once a year. I learned meditation from several experienced meditation instructors in Thailand and the US. After I began my career as a physician, I have learned about stress and burnout in medical practitioners and medical students. I believe that meditation is a great tool for stress management, creating a source of happiness, and improving quality of life. I am interested in integrating meditation practice to improve wellness and quality of life and developing a self-management relaxation program by using meditation to promote well-being for medical practitioners, medical students, and patients.
