Asking For Advice..

Dear friend, I have problem with my neck, shoulder and back because of sitting for long time before computer. I have been carrying this problems for several years and the situation's kind of severe. Do you have any suggestion for me that can help me to sit for meditation? Thank you so much for your kindness:)

I have had similar problem. The problem can become chronic. Yet the solution is not difficult. For a few last months, I often spent about 30'-45' a day dancing or moving freely in tune with relaxation music. It helps to ease my muscles. Or just do a little stretching before sitting for meditation.

Hope it helps :-)

Cheers, Hang

You can also remember to adjust your sitting posture when you have to be in front of the computer. Even if you are working you can still do meditation in a way: just sit correctly with a straight back and from time to time, breathe consciously. When your thoughts get carried away into your work, don't forget about your center - it is from the center that you are communicating with the world and the work you are doing on the computer is a communication with your environment. Transform work time into part-meditation time by adjusting your posture, perhaps you can change the place of the computer and change the chair too. Also get up at least 10 minutes every hour. You can set an alarm for that :) like in school -- break time is announced loudly. And during the break, you can do what your friend above said: dance, meditate, go out and hug the sunshine or do some easy gymnastics. I give this advice to you but this advice I also give to myself. So thanks for asking. Warmly anca
